I hope this letter finds you in good health.

It is with mixed emotions that I am writing to inform you of my upcoming retirement from Family Dentistry of Springfield. After nearly 23 years of practicing dentistry in this location, I have decided that the time has come for me to sell my practice and embark on a new chapter of my life.

In an effort to ensure my patients continue to receive the best possible care and after careful consideration of several candidates, I have selected Dr. Naghmeh Pashmini to assume my practice starting February 15th, 2024. Dr. Pashmini has been practicing in Old Town Alexandria for over 5 years. She is caring, gentle and extremely well skilled in all aspects of restorative, cosmetic and implant dentistry.

Dr. Pashmini graduated from George Mason University in 2009 and continued her dental education at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. After her graduation in 2014, she completed a post doctoral residency program at the Pittsburgh Veterans hospital and has been in private practice since. Dr. Pashmini lives in Kingstowne, Alexandria with her husband Elliot, her daughter Emma and her dog, Leo.

Dr. Pashmini will be expanding the number of days and hours during which appointments may be made, making it easier for you to schedule your appointments. The office location and phone number will remain the same and she will continue to accept the same insurance plans moving forward. I’m happy to say that our outstanding clinical and business office staff will continue to serve your needs, so you will still see the same familiar faces in our office.

Finally, I want to thank all of you. Many of you were more than patients, but friends who I looked forward to seeing at each and every visit. Have faith and trust in Dr. Pashmini as she is a gifted dentist who truly puts her heart, soul and technical excellence into her work. I am certain that you will be in good hands and I ask that you join me in welcoming Dr. Pashmini to our practice and to extend to her the same courtesy and loyalty that you have afforded me over the years.
